![]() Wanted to update that the manager from the rec emailed me back today and was totally helpful. Has anyone else ever had this happen to them at this place? I get stuff happens, but I don't want to deal with this repeatedly over the upcoming years, as much as he plays basketball there. I promised I wouldn't go over there to confront staff, but I will if they don't respond to my email. I know it happened recently since we played with it within the last few weeks. I only found out today the second one was stolen. Since this is now a recurring problem, I'm more inclined to do it. I never did when his stuff was stolen before because I placed blame on my son for not being more careful about his stuff and didn't think the cops would do anything over a $70 ball or the card. I also don't know if it's worth filing a police report. I've emailed the site asking if they can review footage from the date/time that his last ball was stolen, so hopefully they get back to me. I told him he should've at least told the staff. Previously, my son witnessed someone stealing money out of someone else's bag, but he was afraid to say anything. The boys get into the game and dont pay attention, but I still gave my son an earful for not constantly looking knowing he's had stuff stolen straight out his bag before. His good friend also got his WILSON Evo stolen from there. After the first time it was stolen, I replaced it, and now that one got stolen. He knew it was his ball because it has his full name in sharpie very big on the ball. He confronted the 19-20 year old man and was able to get the ball back. He was looking everywhere and noticed his ball sticking out of someone else's bag. On one occasion, my 14 year old son noticed his ball was missing from his bag. Apparently people get away with stealing balls and other stuff all the time. It's crazy because the indoor basketball court area is relatively small. He has also had someone steal one of those family credit/debit cards out of his bag. My son got his second WILSON Evolution basketball stolen out of his bag at the indoor court at the Dulles Rec Center in South Riding. ![]() Mainly venting, but I'm also hoping someone has suggestions.
